01Limitation of Liability

1.1. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “SCC Netball Academy” or “SCC” includes the Singapore Cricket Club, the SCC Netball Section, and all individuals and entities engaged in the delivery of SCC Netball Academy programmes, including but not limited to coaches, assistant coaches, contractors, service providers, agents, volunteers, officials, and any affiliated or associated persons or organisations.

1.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SCC Netball Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including loss of enjoyment or opportunity, arising from participation in any programme.

1.3. SCC Netball Academy’s total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with participation shall be limited to the total fees paid by the participant for the relevant programme.

02Training Services

2.1. SCC Netball Academy offers structured netball training sessions.

2.2. Training schedules and venues will be provided upon registration and are subject to change. Players will be notified in advance of any changes.

2.3. Our coaches are qualified professionals committed to delivering the highest standard of training.

03Registration & Payments

3.1. All players must be fully registered before attending any programme, including trial sessions.

3.2. Payment must be made prior to the first session to confirm participation.

3.3. All programme fees must be paid in full at least ten (10) days before the start date to secure commitment and allow for appropriate coaching arrangements.

3.4. For programmes with limited capacity, places are only guaranteed upon receipt of full payment.

3.5. Players who have not completed payment or do not have a valid package balance may not attend sessions.

3.6. Per-session payments are not accepted.

3.7. Refunds will only be issued under exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of SCC Netball Academy.

04Refunds, Credits & Pro-rations

4.1. All fees paid are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

4.2. No refunds will be issued for missed or partially attended sessions.

4.3. No make-up sessions will be provided unless expressly stated otherwise by management.

05Additional Costs

5.1. Additional fees may apply where relevant, including but not limited to new player administration fees, league participation fees, carnival and tournament fees, overseas tour costs, and official SCC Netball Academy attire such as training shirts, shorts, match dresses, and socks.

06Health and Fitness

6.1. Members must disclose any relevant health or fitness conditions during registration.

6.2. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure they are medically fit to participate in training sessions.

6.3. SCC Netball Academy reserves the right to request a medical certificate confirming fitness to participate.

07Insurance and Coaching Decisions

7.1. SCC Netball Academy does not provide insurance coverage for players. Parents or guardians are responsible for arranging appropriate personal insurance.

7.2. All coaching decisions during training sessions, matches, carnivals, and related activities are made at the sole discretion of SCC Netball Academy coaches and are final.

08Participation in Carnivals and Leagues

8.1. Players must be actively enrolled in SCC Netball Academy programmes for a minimum of two (2) consecutive terms before participating in carnivals or leagues, unless space availability permits otherwise.

8.2. If a carnival or league event is cancelled by an external organiser, no refunds of carnival or league fees will be issued.

09Programme Suspension or Venue Changes

9.1. In the event of government restrictions, natural disasters, virus outbreaks, or venue unavailability, SCC Netball Academy will not issue refunds or replacement sessions.

9.2. Where alternative venues or session times are offered, no refund will be provided if the change is deemed inconvenient to the player or parent.

9.3. Venue owners or relevant authorities may impose usage limitations. While SCC Netball Academy will make reasonable efforts to provide suitable alternatives, all standard Terms and Conditions will continue to apply.

10Weather Policy

10.1. In the event of adverse weather, SCC Netball Academy will provide an update via the official WhatsApp group chat at least one (1) hour before the scheduled start time to confirm whether the session will proceed or be cancelled.

10.2. Decisions regarding cancellation must be made one (1) hour prior to the session and will remain final even if weather conditions improve during the scheduled training time.

10.3. If a session is cancelled due to weather conditions, no refunds, credits, or replacement sessions will be provided.

11Receipts and Proof of Payment

11.1. All payments must be made through the official SCC Netball Academy website via the approved online payment gateway.

11.2. Cash, cheque, bank transfer, or PayNow payments are not accepted.

11.3. An automated email confirmation and digital receipt will be issued upon successful completion of the online payment.

11.4. Parents are responsible for ensuring that payment confirmation is received and retained as proof of payment.

11.5. Players whose online payment has not been successfully processed or verified may be denied access to sessions.

12Registration Declaration

12.1. By registering with SCC Netball Academy, you declare that all information provided is accurate and complete.

12.2. You agree to comply with the club’s Code of Conduct and all rules and regulations.

12.3. You acknowledge that participation in sport involves inherent risks and accept these risks.

12.4. Participation in academy activities is voluntary, and netball is a limited-contact sport involving inherent risks of injury or illness.

12.5. The participant releases SCC Netball Academy, including its officers, employees, agents, coaches, and volunteers, from any liability for injury, loss, illness, or property damage arising from participation.

12.6. The participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SCC Netball Academy and its representatives against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from participation.

13Consent to Photography and Videography

13.1. By registering, you consent to the use of photographs or video recordings taken during training sessions, matches, or events.

13.2. These may be used for promotional purposes, including on the website, social media, and marketing materials.

13.3. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must inform SCC Netball Academy in writing at the time of registration.

14Data Protection

14.1. SCC Netball Academy will handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

14.2. Personal data will only be used for purposes related to participation in the club and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

15Amendments

15.1. SCC Netball Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes in writing.

16Dispute Resolution

16.1. All parties agree to use reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute amicably within thirty (30) days from the commencement of discussions.

16.2. These Terms and Conditions apply only to current or active SCC Netball Academy customers (or their children). Non-active customers are not entitled to make claims under these Terms.

17Conduct and Discipline

17.1. SCC Netball Academy reserves the right to refuse or terminate enrolment if attendance falls below seventy per cent (70%), if there is non-compliance with Terms and Conditions, the Registration Declaration, or the Code of Conduct, or if inappropriate or abusive behaviour is displayed.

17.2. In such cases, no refunds will be provided.

17.3. SCC Netball Academy reserves the right to temporarily suspend a player’s participation during any formal investigation conducted by authorities. Standard Terms and Conditions will continue to apply.

18Code of Conduct

18.1. Players

Players must demonstrate commitment and a positive attitude, adhere to the rules and principles of fair play, respect coaching decisions, show good sportsmanship, refrain from arguing with officials, maintain self-control, respect all participants and facilities, take responsibility for their behaviour, and participate with enjoyment and respect.

18.2. Parents and Spectators

Parents and spectators must encourage development and enjoyment, respect all participants, provide positive support, refrain from criticism, allow coaches to coach without interference, raise concerns appropriately, avoid placing pressure on players, and respect the organisation of all events.
